Artist Bios:

Randy “Hotthobo” Ellis is a co-owner and label manager of Hobo Camp Records and Voltaire Records in California, and a frequent contributor/collaborator to Loose Shus and Chautauqua. His 100% vinyl sets journey deep into an abyss of new, classic, and obscure 12″ and 7″ records, with a focus toward high-end boogie, disco, two step, sweet soul, italo, house and modern funk. His record labels have seen releases from local SF artists such as Roche and The Pendletons.

the Beat Broker:
The Beat Broker began DJing outside of the bedroom in 2001 playing everything from German minimal techno to classic 80s electro to italo disco. As part of Broker/Dealer, the duo created a monthly/weekly party in San Francisco called ‘POP’, which in its 5 years, had hosted many popular acts ranging from Erland Oye, Brennan Green and Tako/Loud-E. To create just the right mood, the Beat Broker began to make edits, remixes and even original tracks to mix into the night. From slower “cosmic” music for the beginning of the night to up-tempo synthesizer based crowd pleasers for the peak hours. While continuing to make remixes and original tracks, the Beat Broker is constantly attempting to fuse old sounds with new ideas and create something for the crowd as well as the listener.

40 Thieves (Corey Black):
40 Thieves is a San Francisco based dance music collective with Corey Black, Layne Fox, Jay WIlliams (aka Jaswho?) at the helm. Friends, vocalists and fellow musicians contribute ideas along the way, and driving it all is the insatiable and mutual desire to create lasting, emotive, and sometimes hilarious music. The Thieves came together much like other music groups probably do… Corey is the funny charismatic one with a masters in literature, and founded the seminal SF house label, imperial DUB recordings in the mid 90’s. He got to tour the globe with the very first wave of rave jocks and eventually found his way into the studio with friend Ben Cook to form The Triangle Orchestra. In addition to a handful of well regarded ep’s and remixes for the great labels of the moment, they finished a few songs that would become the first release for Ben and DJ Spun’s soon-to-be label, Rong Music.

Birthed in 2016, TURTLENCK combines multiple lifestyles to bring warmth ☼ to this cold ❅ world.

Fabio Bene:
Fabio grew up in the heart of São Paulo/Brazil surrounded by the local urban culture in the 90’s. He uses a range of expressions from marginalized mediums to multimedia experimentations, trying a different process for each series and approaching random themes from personal struggles to nude portraits.
